I Love Lucy's Doodles

Have you been looking for a puppy who is smart and catches on training quickly? Do you want a puppy with that gets along with other dogs and kids? Would you like a dog who likes the water - whether that means swimming or bouncing in and out? Yes some doodles don't like to swim but prefer to be ON the water. Are you looking for a dog who just loves to be petted and doesn't shed much? A mini aussiedoodle the one for you!

Who we are

We are Mini Aussiedoodle breeders located in Metro Detroit. Our puppies are raised in our house, around a child and other dogs. We treat the puppies like they're our own. Additionally, our first goal is to breed for health, then temperment. Parents are DNA and health tested and, of course, have wonderful temperments.

We breed to acheive second generation (F2b) Mini Aussiedoodles. Puppies are expected to be very low shedding.

We have had dogs our entire lives and are huge animal lovers. We also happen to be a family with dog allergies (and with some dogs with allergies - not Lucy). We understand that while no dog is truly allergy free there are some better suited for people with dog allergies. We hope that not only will we match you with a healthy, happy puppy but also one that hopefully shouldn't make you itch (or sneeze?)!

About Aussiedoodles

Mini Aussiedoodles are a cross between Mini Australian Shepherds (also called Mini American Sheperds - MAS) and poodles. This cross can involve standard poodles and/or mini poodles. An F1 or first generation is Mini Aussie/MAS and a poodle. An F1b occurs when an offspring the F1 is bred to a poodle.

An f2b - Lucy and Koa's puppies are the product of an F1b (Lucy) and an F1 (Koa).

Aussiedoodles are generally very smart and catch on to training quickly. They are sweet and will sleep with you on the couch or ask for pets. Lucy demands pets. Some Aussiedoodles swim. Lucy prefers use the floats on the water. Aussiedoodles can have very unique personalities. We kept two puppies from Lucy's first litter and one from her second. Little Goose will play by herself, she will roll all over the couch growling all herself having a great time. Lilibet will watch her trying to work out what her sister is doing. Everytime we use the sink Lilibet will jump up as if she wants to help. She also attempts to herd Leo (see photos below) outside every morning even though hes still a little bigger than her.

Aussiedoodles enjoy making friends with other dogs and people. They love kids but make sure both have been properly socialized to avoid your puppy becoming overwhelmed. Remember puppies can get overstimulated as well.

Aussiedoodles tend to have herding instincts. It depends on the dog and can vary even in a litter. This is not a bad thing it is just something to keep in mind as a kind of personality trait.

We also have a Medium Labradoodle, Leo, and a Shih Tzu mix, Luna.

Lucy's first time Up North

Our dogs love the beach in their own ways. Luna (who is also part lab) loves to swim. Leo likes to wade and be on top of the water. Lucy likes to dig in the sand, check out the rocks, and make sure her kid isn't getting into trouble.

Luna playing with puppy Lilibet

Auntie Luna played with the puppies - her most favorite thing. She loves all dogs so she waited as patiently as possible until Lucy let her into the puppy area.
