Puppies
If you have been looking for a high-quality Mini Aussiedoodle puppy in the Metro Detroit area you have found the right place! Our program is set apart from others because our parents are DNA and health tested and puppies are raised with the Badass Breeder Program.
They receive Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI), which helps to stimulate the neurological system. This improves the growth and development of the puppy's immune system. cardiovascular system, and stress tolerance. These exercises are completed during the 3rd through 16th days of the puppies' lives. You can read more about ENS here and ESI here.
.
We also perform handling exercises every day. We get puppies used to their paws, mouths, faces, ears, and tails being touched. Their nails are clipped every week starting at 1 week old. Weekly nail clipping not only is essential grooming but desensitizes puppies to their paws and nails being touched.
They start potty training at 2 weeks old. We introduce a puppy pad into the whelping box and they begin learning the idea of a sleeping space and potty space. This evolves into a potty tray and then around 5-6 weeks old we put a grate over the potty tray. When they are 7 weeks old we start taking them outside with our other dogs to go potty. By the time your puppy goes home they have a soild foundation in potty training and know they need to go potty in a certain place.
We also begin crate training. When puppies are about 3 weeks old we put 1-2 crates in their enclosure. They can come and go as they like from the crates and end up sleeping in them. This teaches them that crates are a safe place.
Starting at 3 weeks we include sound exposure and play them various sounds including fireworks, thunderstorms, loud cars, birds, baby crying, tool sounds, etc. We also vacuum around them. We want them to be used to sounds and have puppies be able to startle normally and self soothe.
They learn to do things for themselves, especially while playing and encountering obstacles. This helps build their confidence. We provide them various toys and objects to climb and play on.
We teach the puppies to sit before they get picked up or petted and some need to be reminded more than others. At almost 7 weeks old they are working on recognizing the sit and come commands.
They play with our other dogs, my niece, and friends. At 6 weeks I began taking them with me one at a time to pick up my niece from school so they could experience car rides, a different environment, groups of people, and more kids. Plus, once the kids are dismissed it becomes much louder so they get to experience some sounds in person.
Starting at 6 weeks old, weather permitting, they go outside to play in an enclosed area. Various environments, surfaces, and situations teach them to adapt, they learn to feel the different surface textures in a fun way, and depending on if the neighbors are outside it can also be socialization.
They get their first baths between 6 and 7 weeks old and have light use of a hair dryer to get used to the sound. The idea is that it should make it easier when they go to the groomer.
